The Meaning Behind Our Quran Rehal Collection
Aqsa Hanif4 min read
A Rehal holds the words we hold most dear. Here is how we approach our Quran Rehal collection with respect, from design and personalised names to gold flakes.
Of everything we make in our studio, the Quran Pak Rehal is the piece we approach with the most care. It isn't simply a stand or a decoration. It holds the words of Allah, and that changes the way we think about every step.
We want to share what this collection means to us, and how we try to honour that meaning in our work.
Why the Rehal Matters
In many of our homes, the Rehal is part of daily life. It sits by the prayer mat, on a shelf or a small table, ready for recitation. Many of us remember our grandparents reading from a wooden Rehal, the soft sound of pages turning in the early morning.
A Rehal raises the Quran above the ground and keeps it steady, so the reader can recite comfortably and respectfully. It is a simple object with a deep purpose.
When we make a Rehal, we remind ourselves that it will hold something far greater than anything we could ever make.
How We Approach the Work
Because of what it will hold, we work on Rehal pieces with a different kind of attention.
- We keep the work space clean and calm while working on them.
- We choose designs that feel graceful and dignified, never flashy.
- We check the balance and stability carefully, so the Rehal sits firmly when opened.
- We sand and polish every edge so it is smooth to touch and won't scratch the Quran's cover.
Each panel goes through the same full process as our other pieces: careful measuring, slow mixing, bubble removal with gentle heat, a full cure of up to 72 hours, and wet sanding from 400 to 2000 grit before the final polish.
Standard and Premium Options
Our Rehal collection comes in two main styles.
Standard Rehal
The standard Rehal is elegant and simple, starting from Rs. 2,999. It can be made in your chosen colours, with a clean finish and soft detailing. It is perfect for daily use at home or as a heartfelt gift.
Premium Rehal
The premium Rehal includes more detailed work: richer layering, more gold, careful placement of flowers or patterns, and a deeper, glassier finish. It is often chosen as a wedding gift, a gift for parents, or a special Ramadan piece.
Personalised Names
Many families ask us to add a name to their Rehal. It might be the name of a child beginning their Quran lessons, a mother who reads every morning, or a grandparent who has been reciting for decades.
A name turns the Rehal into something deeply personal. It becomes "her Rehal" or "his Rehal", a piece that carries their presence in the home.
When you order, please send us the exact spelling you would like, in English or Urdu. We confirm the name and placement with you before we begin, because once it is sealed in resin, it cannot be changed.
The Gentle Shine of Gold Flakes
Gold flakes are one of our most loved add-ons for the Rehal collection. We place them by hand, a few at a time, so they look natural and soft rather than heavy.
Gold paired with navy, cream, emerald or white creates a calm, timeless feeling. It reflects light gently when the Rehal is opened, which many of our customers say feels peaceful during recitation.
Handling the Quran With Care
A resin Rehal is strong, but we always share a few reminders about respectful handling:
- Place the Rehal on a clean, raised surface such as a table or shelf, not on the floor where people walk.
- Open the Rehal fully and make sure it is steady before placing the Quran on it.
- Keep your hands clean when handling the Quran and the Rehal.
- When not in use, close the Quran and store it respectfully in a high, clean place.
- Wipe the Rehal with a soft, dry or slightly damp cloth, and keep it away from heaters and harsh sunlight.
These are small things, but they reflect the love and respect we all hold for the Quran.
A Gift That Stays
Of all the gifts we make, the Rehal is often the one that stays in a family the longest. It is given at weddings, on Eid, at the start of Ramadan, and when a child begins to read.
When you order a Rehal from MHER Resin Studio, know that it was made slowly, with intention, and with a quiet prayer that it will be used often and with love.
May it bring barakah to your home, and may every recitation upon it be a source of peace.
